Data collection using paper and pencil

Pros

  • Good drawing skills will help you to get fine details
  • Very cheap and independent of weather conditions (pencil will work from -60°C to +40°C) just make sure to protect paper (water and physical damage)
  • No need in electricity (permanent or batterers)
  • Low weight
  • Low cost

Cons

  • Same as with using your memory
  • You will need $1 to pay for paper and pencil
  • You may need reliable light source (it would be difficult to write during storm or night time)
