Tagging
All tagging tries to conform with the OpenSeaMap scheme
Ireland uses the IALA-A scheme for marks. The Shannon uses Red / Black marks as Port / Starboard channel marks, but these are being changed to the IALA-A scheme which is Red / Green.
All marks will be tagged using the IALA-A scheme.
A great list of required IHO symbols can be found here.
Also using the OSM defaults.
Harbour
Using the OSM defaults.
Issues
- Currently using route=ferry to mark the navigable channel, or recommended track.
- Don't know what tag to use for 'End of Navigation'
- Not sure what is best way to mark bridges for navigation
- Inland markers don't easily conform to IALA shapes...
- Weir & Lock gates aren't showing up on map for Athlone?
