The aim of Map1.eu is to provide an all-purpose map of the whole of Europe in such a quality that it is close to the standard of a printed map. The effort is to realize the potential of openstreetmap data and to create larger scale maps suitable for hiking, biking, skiing or geocaching, and smaller scale maps applicable as a road atlas. The bold ambition is to create such a map that could be more than an adequate alternative to the standard openstreetmap style.

At this time map1.eu is in Alpha development status and up to (23.2.2013) only central Europe and a part of south Europe is rendered.
