Metro Atlanta Transit Services

There are a number of transit systems within the Atlanta metro area -- regional, county, university and private services.

Public Transit Services

MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority)

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is the primary transit service for DeKalb County and Fulton County (and the cities contained therein, including Atlanta. MARTA operates both a subway system and a number of bus routes.

MARTA Rail Lines

MARTA's subway system consists of four heavy rail lines. The rail lines now use the newer public transport schema, and so there is one relation for the each direction of the route.
