Organised Editing/Activities/Template

ToDo Activity Title

To complete this document,  To do: review the guide: Organised Editing Guidelines. Remember to delete all the "ToDo's" and their description, as only your content should remain in each section.

Rationale

To do: Describe the purpose of this activity. You can include some history and context to understand why it is being done.

Contact

To do: Include a list of the people leading the activity or an email. It is practical to use the Template User: AngocA (on osm, edits, contrib, heatmap, chngset com.) to generate links to the Wiki and OSM profile so that they can be contacted. Likewise, if there is another form of contact, you can include it, such as Telegram, WhatsApp, or other accounts.

Community Consultation

All activities must be socialized with the community.  To do: In this section, indicate how the activity was socialized. For example, through the Telegram channel of the country, the LatAm channel; a mailing list; or a community thread. As part of the socialization, it is recommended to explain what is going to be done clearly; for this reason, you can have a page in the wiki where you explain (a page different from the organized activity page) everything that is going to be done (tags to be used, inventory, progress, etc.).

Hashtag

To do: List the hashtag(s) to be used primarily for commits. This shows how the mapping can be tracked from a data quality tool like OSMCha.

Timeframe

To do: Describe when the activity will begin and when it is expected to end.

Tools and Data Sources

To do: List the tools to be used for mapping (editors, field data collection tools - Cameras, cell phones, GPS trackers, local knowledge), as well as the data sources to be used (GPX traces, Strava, Mapillary, Karta View, open datasets (validate license compatibility, data owner)).

Participants

To do: List the participants of the activity. This can be modified as new participants arrive. Those who have stopped contributing can be indicated in another list but not deleted. Use the template User: AngocA (on osm, edits, contrib, heatmap, chngset com.).

Measuring our Success

To do: Show how the progress of the activity is being measured. You can include a list of tasks to be performed. Also, some Overpass queries. As part of the monitoring, you can include some data quality tools.

Training/Instructions

To do: Describes how to ensure that all participants follow the same mapping strategy. This may include when meetings are held or what material has been shared.

Post-Event Clean Up

To do: Describes the types of data validation that are performed. Something important when there are new mappers is to ensure they follow the guidelines.

Results

To do: Describes how the monthly progress and final mapping results will be shared with the community. This can be through meetings, messages, or even social networks.

ToDo Once you have created this page, include it in Organised_Editing/Activities.
