QualityStreetMap

QualityStreetMap (qualitystreetmap.org) was a Quality Assurance tool for coordinating mapping work. It displays a large grid, now covering the whole world. Zoom to see it. Login with your normal OSM login (uses OAuth) and then click a grid square to indicate mapping progress.

The idea was presented as one of the State Of The Map 2010/Lightning Talks. Read the slides on slideshare.net or view the talk on YouTube.

Early design inspiration was presumably taken from the Old osm-matrix tool which featured a similar assessment scoring of grid squares.

In turn this tool had some design influence upon the very successful OSM Tasking Manager (see History of the OSM Tasking Manager)
