State of the Map/Planning/Event insurance

Event insurance should be obtained to cover key risks. The level of insurance required will directly impact the cost. As a minimum we recommend Public Liability cover and Employer's Liability cover. In the eyes of the law, volunteers are deemed to be employees in many jurisdictions.

The OpenStreetMap Foundation is a UK based company. Some insurers will only cover employees who are deemed to reside in the UK. One such insurer who will cover international employees is Hiscox; a company that we have a track record of working with.
