Texas/Regions
Due to Texas' size and complexity, some data consumers find it necessary to subdivide the state into smaller regions, but the state's 254 counties are too numerous and granular for some use cases. Data consumers can group counties by region for convenient processing. These regions should not be mapped in OSM, because there are multiple schemes for dividing Texas into regions that don't quite line up with each other.
