Greece introduced the current system of National Highways, with road numbers, on 23 July 1963.[1] The latest state of research on OpenStreetMap indicates that the National Highway system received a major update in the mid-1990s, when they were divided into three subcategories (primary, secondary or tertiary network).[2]
This article describes how to map one of the most complex system of trunk roads in Europe. The nature of the system required great attention to detail, so you might want to put the kettle on.
