Background and Identification

In 2004, BlackBerry released the 7000 series. This product line was similar to previous models, but with the addition of color LCD screen and improved download speeds. The 7280 has an integrated phone and organizer, with faster download capabilities than its predecessors in the series. This device gives mobile access to internet, email, calenders, SMS messaging, and voice-mail.

This model features a full, back-lit QWERTY keyboard and track wheel for navigation. It has a 240 x 160 pixel color LCD screen.

This device is recognizable from other similar models by its blue case, as opposed to many other models that have a black case. A BlackBerry can be positively identified as a 7280 by the model number, which is found at the top of the sticker under the battery.
