Background and Identification
The Gateway NV57H50u (Part Number: LX.WYY02.032) was released September 25, 2011, as a follow up to the Gateway NV7915u that was released in 2010.
Gateway laptops do share similar sleek designs. The outer covers will vary between black and silver with the ‘Gateway’ logo being the opposite color. The NV57H50u model is black with the silver ‘Gateway’ logo on the left side. The best way to differentiate would be to have your model number that is located on the base of the laptop.
The NV57H50u model now includes up to 8 GB expandable storage, Intel HD Graphics 3000, high definition screen display, webcam, and microphone. Also included is high-speed wireless LAN, Windows Microsoft 7, and up to 4 hours of battery life.
The most known failure mode that was obtained through customer reviews would be lack of pin-pad and mouse clicker functionality, it would stop working with no known reason. Although this was an issue among many laptops, there were no manufacturer recalls.
