Background

The HP Chromebook 11 G3 is a small to midsized notebook designed for small business and student use. HP announced the device in mid-2014 and released it in Fall 2014. This device belongs to the 3rd generation of the HP Chromebook 11 line, and it is easily identifiable by the model number found on the sticker at the bottom of the device.

With this model of the Chromebook, HP changed from the Samsung ARM processor to the Intel Celeron N2830. Moreover, HP added an HDMI port for connecting external monitors, installed a webcam with an upgraded resolution of 1280x720, and included a USB 3.0 port capable of charging other devices.

The fourth generation model (HP Chromebook 11 G4) replaced the HP Chromebook 11 G3 in June 2015.
