Background and Identification

LG has a line of projectors called the CineBeam. The PH150B was released in 2018. It's a LCoS projector. It is very compact. It weighs 1.1 lbs. The projector's main selling point is its small size and resulting portability. It also features Bluetooth connectivity.

Due to the projector's small size, a lot of people bought it for travel. It could be used during campfires, parks, and in a small room. It was the first portable projector that was part of LG's CineBeam line. It retailed at $349.99 which was cheaper than all other CineBeam models.

An issue with the projector was that there was no cover or protector on the lens which caused dirt or grease to pile up on it or even the lens breaking if it fell. Further, it wasn't packaged with a case or a protector, so it could get damaged during travel.

The projector was overall met with positive reviews saying that it was very good for the price and had a crisp image despite its size.

In 2021, LG discontinued manufacturing the PH150B and replaced it with the PF610 which was also portable and had better specs.

To identify this device, you flip the projector to find a sticker on its backside. The model number should be at the top. It should say PH150B.
