Background and Information
Released in October 2016 the Ring Stick Up Wire-Free Outdoor Security Camera is the first generation of Ring’s dedicated outdoor security cameras. Featuring a squared off design, two-way audio, night vision, motion detection, and HD-quality video. This model can be identified by the SKU number 8SS1S6-0EN0 located on a white sticker in the lower right corner of the back of the device.
The Ring Stick Up Camera is a small, black, rectangular camera used to monitor activity outside the home. Video and audio recording are activated by a motion sensor contained within the device. Discontinued in 2018, it has been replaced by the second-generation camera marketed under the name Ring Stick Up Cam Battery. The newer device has a rounded rather than rectangular design.
