Introduction

If your croc rivet or fastener has chipped or broken off and caused the strap to come loose, you can follow this guide to repair the issue.

With the major consumption and disposal of material goods, people have disposed damaged crocs and with the guide we can decrease the impact of plastic in landfills.

3/16 in. x 1/4 in. Aluminum Flat-Head Slotted Machine Screw with Binding Post

Step 1

With a flat head screwdriver, place the screwdriver head underneath the plastic rivet head.
With the screwdriver in place, wiggle the plastic rivet until the rivet head pops off.

Step 2

Using your hands, remove the tail end of the old plastic rivet from inside the croc.

Step 3

Move the croc strap and apply the binder clip to hold the strap in place.

Step 4

Place the tail end of the new rivet through the hole from the inside of the croc .

Step 5

Place the head of the new rivet through the hole of the croc strap.
Move the croc strap so that the rivet head aligns with the opening of the rivet tail.

Step 6

Using the flat head screwdriver, turn the rivet head clockwise to tighten the rivet.

Step 7

Once the screw rivet is tighten onto the croc, remove the binder clip.

Step 8

To test for tightness, move the strap down. If the strap bends instead of rotating freely, the screw is on too tight.
To loosen the croc strap, rotate the rivet head counter-clockwise using the flat head screwdriver.
