ASUS VivoBook S300C

The VivoBook S300C is a laptop released by Asus in 2013. It has a 13-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1366x768 and an Intel processor. The laptop is mainly made from a light gray aluminum, but the back of the display features a colored surface (black, red, etc.) and a silver Asus logo. You can identify this laptop by looking for an informational sticker on the bottom of the device as shown in this Asus support article. This sticker should contain the model number “S300Cx” and likely the serial number.

While the bottom cover of this laptop is easy to remove, there aren’t too many upgrades available inside. Luckily, however, the consumable battery is completely replaceable. The hard drive utilizes a standard SATA port and comes in the regular 2.5-inch form factor; thus, you can replace this component or upgrade it to an SSD for a considerable performance boost. You can also replace the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card and the internal fan if they break. The memory in the VivoBook S300C is soldered to the motherboard, so it cannot be upgraded from the factory default 2 GB or 4 GB.
