Background
The ROG Ally is a handheld, portable gaming console made by ASUS. It’s a competitor to the Valve Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch Lite, AYA Neo, and OneXPlayer. Similar to the rest, the Ally has a 7-inch display bookended by two non-removable controllers that feature thumbsticks on both sides, with triggers, bumpers, grip buttons, and menu buttons—plus the standard ABXY and D-pad.
The ROG Ally sports a Zen 4/RDNA 3 AMD APU on the 64-bit x86 CPU architecture and runs Windows 11.
ASUS revealed the Ally gaming console in April 2023. On May 11th, 2023, ASUS announced a release date of June 13th, 2023.

The ASUS ROG Ally can be identified by the model number RC71L. Two sub-models can be identified by the model numbers RC71L-ALLY.Z1_512 and RC71L-ALLY.Z1X_512.
