Background and Identification

The Garmin Rino 700 (Model Number: 010-01958-00) was released to the public in July of 2017 as a device used to navigate and communicate in all different kinds of environments. The handheld two way radio with GPS/GLONASS brings a whole new level of confidence to your outdoor adventures.

Unlike ordinary two-way radios, the Garmin Rino 750 Handheld Two-Way Radio with GPS/GLONASS features a powerful 5W FRS/GMRS radio, dual GPS and GLONASS satellite reception, Active Weather updates, emergency alerts with Position Reporting, Bluetooth® headset audio, 3-axis compass, barometric altimeter, and so much more.

The devices enables voice communication and texting with other nearby rino users, and has the ability to send your position to other users so they can see your locations on their Rinos’ maps. This device charges via USB cord and will run up to 13 hours on a charge and is rated IPX7 water resistant.

The new Rino 700 was not designed to outperform the Rino 750, it was designed to maintain the core features of the rino while offering a more affordable entry point for some consumers. The Garmin Rino 700 is the most recent device to come out and aims to be a two way radio system and navigator built in one.
