Haywards Heath is a town in West Sussex, England at latitude 51°00′00.00″ North, longitude 0°06′00.00″ West.


Haywards Heath is the postal town of RH16 and RH17, while RH16 is used primarly for the town of Haywards Heath (but some rural areas to the north and south), and RH17 is used for surrounding villages (although is used for some newer housing areas in the North West and East of the town). Both RH16 and RH17 spans both West Sussex and East Sussex, with large amount of RH17 7 sector being in East Sussex.

    • A272 By-passes through and to the south of Cuckfield and Haywards Heath
    • A273 Links Haywards Heath to Burgess Hill to the south. Previously was made up of the B2028 and B2036
  • B Routes -
    • B2115 East to west through Warninglid Junction (A23) to the west and terminates onto the B2036.
    • B2036 North to South through Balcombe, Brook Street, Whitemans Green and Cuckfield before merging with the A272, taking a separate route at Ansty and heading towards Burgess Hill. It did go beyond Burgess hill down to the A23, however this part of the route makes up the A273 now
    • B2184 Short part of road through Cuckfield connecting the B2036 with the A272.
    • B2272 Short East to West Road though Haywards Heath. Was the previous route that the A272 took before the by-pass was completed.
    • B2212 South to North, coming though Wivesfield, Fox Hill before crossing the A272, then crosses the B2272 before terminating on the B2028 which continues the route North
    • B2028 South to North, starting at the B2272, joins the B2212 and then continues the route up via Lindfield and Ardingly. Was the previous route of Issacs Lane, which now makes up the A273 north of Burgess Hill
