restriction=*

Status: undefined

Description

The implicit key is used to specify that a restriction is not created due to legal restrictions, such as a sign post explicitly forbidding a turn, but rather due to physical properties that make it impossible to reasonably perform an action. Implicit turn restrictions are implied by local laws, safe driving norms, or the real-world physical layout of roads, but are not accompanied by explicit signs (posts or road paint). The absence of an implicit tag on a restriction implies implicit=no.

See Relation:restriction for more info regarding turn restrictions.

See https://labs.mapbox.com/mapping/mapping-for-navigation/implicit-restrictions/ for more information regarding usage of the implicit tag.
