The soliciting=* tag allows us to note if a particular building (usually a house) refuses to admit solicitors, the American term for door-to-door salespersons, onto their property. The soliciting=* tag must be used only on buildings.
In some jurisdictions, soliciting at a house with one of these signs is a crime.
Tagging
The soliciting=* tag must be placed on the node or area which represents the house or building. A single value is used to denote if the building has a “No Soliciting” sign, soliciting=no.
soliciting=yes should not be used unless a sign specifically states that the building welcomes solicitors.
