The tag works=* is sometimes used to with the tag man_made=works to specify the type of works (a facility where goods are made, or processed, also known as a factory).
Another more common method of tagging this information is to use product=* to specify the product of a man_made=works or landuse=industrial. For the latter, industrial=* is also sometimes used.
Tagging
Add the tag works=* to a node or area which is also tagged with man_made=works. This should usually be within an area of landuse=industrial.
