J-bar lift. An overhead tow-line for skiers and riders, known as a J-bar lift lift or L-bar lift. They are named for the shape of the carrier which has a long vertical bar curving to a short horizontal bar. A J-bar closely resembles a T-bar, except each carrier holds only one passenger.

This is just one classification among several cable/wire based lifts/transportation types listed under aerialway=*. See also WikiProject Piste Maps.

How to map

Draw a way along the route of the cable, and add aerialway=drag_lift + aerialway:drag_lift=j-bar. The direction of the way should indicate the ascending direction. E.g., the way should point from the valley station to the mountain station.

Additional features

Position nodes at either end of the cable. These nodes might be tagged with aerialway=station.

If you know the position you can also map support pylons by positioning nodes in the middle of the way, with the tag aerialway=pylon.
