A battery storage power plant is a form of energy storage power plant that uses a group of batteries to store electrical energy.
Battery storage plants have both a peak power output, usually in megawatts (MW), and an energy storage capacity, usually in megawatt-hours (MWh). The peak power output should be recorded in the plant:output:electricity=* tag, and the storage capacity in the plant:storage=* tag.
The plant:method=* tag can be used to record the battery chemistry. In almost all cases this will be plant:method=lithium-ion.
It is common to also use landuse=industrial with the power=plant.
