The tag railway=traverser is used to identify a railway traverser or transfer table. A traverser consists of a single length of track that can be moved side to side, in a direction perpendicular to the track. Traversers typically have multiple tracks on one side and one or multiple tracks on the other side.
Traversers are drawn as a rectangular area. Do not draw the movable track segment inside the traverser—different imagery may show it in different positions, and the rectangular railway=traverser area provides sufficient information for routing software.
