Wikimania

Wikimania (wikimania.wikmedia.org) is the annual international conference of Wikimedia (the organisation behind Wikipedia) - it's their version of our State Of The Map. Wikimania visits different world cities each year; recent events have attracted more than 1,500 attendees.

The conference has a presentations on a range of topics on Wikimedia and other open- projects; this can very reasonably include presentations on OpenStreetMap, particularly as Wikipedia is increasingly adopting OpenStreetMap for maps, and our communities overlap.

Here on this wiki we can plan an "OpenStreetMap presence" at the Wikimania conference, and get some local OSMers representing us.
