Background

The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 1040 was released in September 2015. It is a 1080p resolution projector that uses 3LCD technology, meaning it gives off brighter colors than most competitors. It is a fairly small and portable projector with a built-in speaker, 2 HDMI® ports with MHL® support, an RCA port, and a VGA port. This projector casts images with equal brightness in both color and white light. This projector can cast a 3000-lumen picture onto a screen up to 300 inches wide.

This 1080p resolution projector was released in September 2015 and discontinued in February 2018. It was followed by the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 1060.

Identification

The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 1040 can be identified by one of two model numbers: V11H772020 or H772A. The model number can be found at the top right corner of the large sticker located on the bottom of the projector near the bulb.
