Background and Identification
HP Chromebook 14-ak041dx is a laptop whose function is to perform numerous tasks all while using the Google Chrome browser. Most of the used applications and data are stored in the cloud instead of the machine itself making a computer backup easy and promising if something were to wipe the Chromebook’s memory. The Chromebook was released in November of 2015 therefore it is not android compatible like the models that came after this one.
This Chromebook’s screen is 14 inches across and includes Intel HD Graphics as their graphics coprocessor. You can identify the Chromebook and the well known intel branding on the device along with the very responsive touch pad. It includes a front web camera along with multiple USB jacks and a headphone one as well. A user can always locate the model number by using the System Information screen which can be reached by pressing “FN-Esc” to open the information window. The model number will then be located under “Product Number.”
This Chromebook is hard to find new as it is four years old but it can be found on Amazon for $159 which includes a restored version that has been owned before. A new version can be found costing the buyer $467 on the Walmart website. The newest version is the HP Chromebook- 15-de0010nr which includes an Intel Pentium Gold Processor and HD Graphics 610. There is now 64 GB of eMMC storage. HP also has a customizable chromebook version that can be created to fit every users needs.
