The HP Chromebook x360 14-da0011dx is a laptop launched in 2012 for $498. The laptop uses Google's Chrome OS. The main design feature of this Chromebook is the 360-degree hinge that allows the user to fold the screen over and use the device as a tablet. This laptop is orientated toward consumers who most often utilize word processing and browser-based applications.

The laptop weighs 3.70 pounds and features a sleek metal design with a ceramic-like finish. Features include a 1920x1080 full IPS touchscreen with a "barely visible bezel", a 720p webcam, and Bang & Olufsen-tuned speakers. It is powered with a 3-cell 60WHr lithium-ion battery advertised at up to 14 hours of usage.

HP released an entire line of Chromebook x360 models at this time with various sizes and features. The Chromebooks of the 14-da0011dx series were superseded by the x360-14c series which introduced a more powerful processor, increased battery life, smaller screen bezels, and a lower price.

The HP Chromebook x360 14-da0011dx is a 14-inch class laptop featuring a 360-degree hinge. External dimensions are roughly 12.75"x9"x.75". The model number and the serial number of the laptop are located on the underside, just below the long horizontal speaker grille. Information is printed in three lines in a roughly 1/4"x3" block. The exterior is a mixture of a blue metal finish on the bottom, and a white plastic finish on top. When closed, the top side features a central HP logo and a google chrome logo in the top left corner. The power button is found on the left side of the device along with the SD card slot, the headphone jack, and a USB type-C/charging port. The left side of the device features volume buttons, a USB type-C/charging port, and a USB 3.0 port. Speaker grilles are located above the keyboard and on the underside of the case near the hinges. A webcam is located just below the top bezel of the screen.
