Background

KODAK’s LS series was the first of the EasyShare cameras to fit in your pocket. The first of its series is the LS420, which featured 2.0 megapixels, 3X digital zoom, and 8 megabytes of internal memory. It later upgraded to LS443 to LS663 and then to LS743, which has more megabytes of internal memory and a scenic mode option.

Kodak’s EasyShare LS743 features a 2.8X optical zoom, 16 megabytes of internal memory, and 12 scenic modes ranging from close-up mode to night portrait. This 4 megapixel camera is only 4.3x1.9x1.2 inches, which can easily fit in your pocket.

The EasyShare LS series are discontinued from production. Now, Kodak has a wide variety of cameras that features the LS series pocket size characteristic, but with better features such as color variety and a face recognition program.

Identification

Even though the LS743 looks very similar to its later update (LS753), the LS743 can be easily identified by looking at the back of the camera below the LCD screen. Your specific EasyShare camera can also be identified by the 13 digit code found at the bottom of your camera.
