The Neato Botvac D5 was released in 2016 by Neato Robotics to allow people to clean their homes automatically. The model boasts advanced features such as self charging, extended battery life, as well as improved navigation from the D4 model. The model also distinguishes itself from other robot vacuums by navigating using smart laser technology, as well as cleaning in straight lines instead of random patterns. The robot also has the capability to connect to a phone app, allowing users to control when and where it cleans.

The Botvac D5 is no longer sold by Neato Robotics, having been phased out by newer models. When it was available the D5 went for 599$, a middle of the road option for those that were looking for a robot vacuum. It is a better device than cheaper models like the D4 and D3, but it falls short of stronger models like the D6, and the D7.

The Botvac, made by company Neato Robotics, is an easily distinguishable robot vacuum due to its square edge on the front. In order to tell the exact model, look on the bottom silver label where it will tell you if you are looking at the D5.
