County Durham is a county in North East England at latitude 54°44′34.80″ North, longitude 1°31′40.80″ West.

County Durham  156050 is a ceremonial countyin the North East England region of England. It is made up of the four unitary authorities of Durham (Unitary Authority), Hartlepool, Darlington and Stockton-on-Tees. Only the part of the Stockton-on-Tees unitary authority north of the river Tees lies within the ceremonial county of County Durham. It borders the ceremonial counties of Tyne and Wear, North Yorkshire, Cumbria and Northumberland.
