Status: in use

The key gender_segregated=* is used for features such as toilets that are gender segregated; i.e. separate male and female facilities.

How to map

Place a node, way or area, tag with a main key (such as amenity=toilets, amenity=shower), then add gender_segregated=yes/no, depending on whether or not the feature is gender segregated. While it may seem obvious in your country, some other countries may have different standards, such as having gender segregated pit latrines. Therefore, the tag should always be added when ambiguity may arise.
