A  bicycle library is a facility for lending bicycles and cycling accessories to riders for trial or use, often run by volunteers or a non-profit. An important part of a bicycle library is the social and community aspect. Most bicycle libraries are mostly for local residents. Some are geared towards kids, where kids are allowed to swap the bikes as they grow and need bigger bikes.
