A garden centre is a large complex that will sell you flowers/shrubs/trees to plant in your garden, and all kinds of gardening supplies and tools. Not to be confused with a 'nursery' (which, in turn, is not to be confused with nurseries for childcare).

In Europe, they often also sell pets and pet accessories, and have a small café. In the United States, they often (but not always) are also part of a shop=doityourself.

How to map

Set a node or draw as an area along the shop outline. Add the tag shop=garden_centre and name using name=* or use noname=yes to mark that shop has no name.

Note: the shop outline can either be defined as just the main shop building (combined with building=*) or the entire garden centre, including outdoor areas such as where plants are displayed for sale, car parks, and outdoor seating areas (combine with landuse=retail).

For a botanical gardens see leisure=garden (as it would almost be an attraction).
