Kantō (関東地方) is a region in Japan at latitude 29°01′51.60″ North, longitude 145°01′48.00″ East.
Subdivisions
The region, mostly located to the south-east of Honshū (本州), the largest island of Japan to the centre, includes the following prefectures :
- Chiba (千葉県)
- Gunma (群馬県)
- Ibaraki (茨城県)
- Kanagawa (神奈川県)
- Saitama (埼玉県)
- Tochigi (栃木県)
- Tōkyō (東京都) (also includes the Izu Islands and the outlying Ogasawara Islands to the south)
