Kyūshū and Nansei Islands (九州と琉球諸島) is a region in Japan at latitude 29°31′08.40″ North, longitude 127°29′42.00″ East.
Subdivisions
The region, mostly located on Kyūshū (九州), the third largest island of Japan to the south-west, is subdivided into the following prefectures :
- Fukuoka (福岡県)
- Kagoshima (鹿児島県) (also includes the Satsunan Islands)
- Kumamoto (熊本県)
- Miyazaki (宮崎県)
- Nagasaki (長崎県)
- Oita (大分県)
- Okinawa (沖縄県) (includes the Ryukyu Islands to the south)
- Saga (佐賀県)
