使用法

JA:建物も参照してください。

buildingキーは建物の領域をマークするために使用します。どのようにbuildingがタグづけられ、描画されるかについてのさらなる詳細については、 JA:建物を参照してください。
ノードにタグ付けすることについての注意事項です。建物は輪郭を（閉じたウェイやマルチポリゴンリレーションで）表現することが望ましいのですが、OSMは継続的に作業されており、世界中の地域によっては、良い航空写真や建物の輪郭を提供する公的なデータセットがないこともあります。従って、よい情報源が得られるまで、ノードで建物を記述することも許容されます。

宿泊施設

building apartments 集合住宅（アパートやマンション）。個人の住宅が並べられた建物で、ふつうは複数階から成ります。1階部分が商業施設になっている場合もあります。
building barracks Buildings built to house military personnel or laborers.
building bungalow 平屋建ての独立した小さい家です。
building cabin キャビンは、簡素な造りで外壁は木がむき出しの小さい家で、郊外部によく見られます。
building detached 家族や、台所などの設備を共有する小さなグループなどが住む一戸建て住宅です。
building dormitory 寮。学生たちが共同で利用する建物です（イギリス英語のように、複数人で部屋を共有するという意味ではありません）。他のタグ付け方法として、building=residential + residential=universityもあります。
building farm 農家。農場にある居住用の建物です。その他の建物については、下記の building=farm_auxiliary、 building=barn などを参照してください。もし農家が普通の住宅と同じような形状の国であれば、 building=house を使用してもかまいません。 landuse=farmyard も参照してください。
building ger 恒久的もしくは季節的な丸いゲルです。
building hotel 一晩限りの宿泊のために利用される、部屋が別個に分けられた建物です。普通はホテルの敷地やレクリエーション施設や駐車場を含むtourism=hotelと組み合わせて使用されます。
building house １つの世帯（家族や、台所などの設備を共有する小さなグループなど）が住む住宅の単位です。二軒長屋の一方や、長屋のうちの一軒の場合は、建物間の壁を定義するために、少なくとも隣の部屋と2つのノードを共有するべきです。
building houseboat 主に住宅として使用されている船です。
building residential 主に居住目的で利用される建物向けの全般的なタグです。詳細が判明している場合は、 'apartmants'、 'terrace'、 'house'、 'detached' などの利用を推奨します。
building semidetached_house A residential house that shares a common wall with another on one side. Typically called a "duplex" in American English.
building static_caravan 特定の場所に（半）永久的に設置されているトレーラーハウスです。
building stilt_house A building raised on piles over the surface of the soil or a body of water

商業施設

building commercial さまざまなビジネスが行われる建物で、オフィスビルに限りません。周囲の土地をlanduse=commercialを使用してタグ付けすることも検討してください。主に店舗に使用される建物には retail を使用してください。
building industrial 何らかの工業活動が行われている建物。物資の貯蔵/流通を主な目的としている場合は warehouse を使うこと。周辺の地域を landuse=industrial で描き、 industrial=* タグを使ってその工業活動の内容を示すことを推奨します。
building kiosk 1室からなる小さな小売用の建物です。
building office オフィスビル（事務所用の建物）。事務所（オフィス）の種類を記述するには building=office と office=* の組み合わせを使用してください。地区をタグ付けする場合は landuse=commercial を使用することを検討してください。主に店舗で占められる建物には retail を使用してください。
building retail 一般人に対する物品の販売を主な目的とする建物。 どのような物品が販売されているのかを shop=* で指定するか、適切な amenity=* （パブ、喫茶、レストランなど）を指定すること。周辺のエリアを landuse=retail で描くことを推奨します。
building supermarket セルフサービス式の大規模店舗。
building warehouse 倉庫。主に物資の貯蔵や、物流システムの一部として使われる建物です。

宗教施設

building cathedral 聖堂として建設された建物。amenity=place_of_worship、religion=*、denomination=*との組み合わせで使用します。現在施設が使用している敷地には、landuse=religiousを使用します。
building chapel 礼拝堂として建設された建物。amenity=place_of_worship、religion=*、denomination=*との組み合わせで使用します。現在施設が使用している敷地には、landuse=religiousを使用します。
building church 教会として建設された建物。 amenity=place_of_worship、 religion=*、 denomination=*との組み合わせで使用します。現在施設が使用している敷地には、landuse=religious を使用します。
building kingdom_hall A building that was built as a  Kingdom Hall. Often used in conjunction with amenity=place_of_worship, religion=christian, denomination=jehovahs_witness and landuse=religious for the grounds where it is in current use.
building monastery A building constructed as monastery. Often, monasteries consist of several distinct buildings with specific functions. For active monasteries (communities), use amenity=monastery, for the grounds of a former monastery, have a look at historic=monastery

市民活動/サービス提供

building bakehouse （公共の）パン窯 ( bakehouse) として建設された建物。しばしば、amenity=baking_oven や oven=wood_fired を付けた別なノードとともに用いられます。
building bridge 橋として使用される建物です。はね橋の操作所を表すためにも使用できます。highway=*のbridge=yesも参照してください。このタグを単に橋（やその外形）を表すために使用しないでください。そのような目的で使用する場合は、man_made=bridgeを使用してください。
building civic 何らかの市民活動に使用される設備です。例えば amenity=community_centre、 amenity=library、 amenity=toilets、 leisure=sports_centre、 leisure=swimming_pool、 amenity=townhallなどです。詳細を amenity=* や leisure=* などを使用して記述してください。 building=public も同様に参照してください。
building college A college building. Use amenity=college on the whole college area to represent the college as an institution.
building fire_station A building constructed as fire station, i.e. to house fire fighting equipment and officers, regardless of current use. Add amenity=fire_station on the grounds for an active fire station.

building barn 農業で倉庫や屋内作業のために使用される建物です。

building cowshed 牛小屋です。牛を飼うための建物で、ふつうは農場にあります。
